National Honors Society

National Honors Society: MEWA provides students with the opportunity to take part in the National Honors Society, an organization that focuses on four pillars: character, scholarship, leadership, and service. NHS members serve the community and many students who are involved in NHS are given opportunities through college and career that they might not have access to otherwise. Students in grades 10-12 are eligible for membership. For the scholarship criterion, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Each fall those students who meet this criterion are invited to complete a Candidate Form that provides the faculty council with information regarding the candidate’s leadership and service.

Note: We are no longer accepting applications for the NHS and this program will be ending in 2026 when our current members graduate.
